Choosing Christmas decorations as gifts

A Christmas decoration can become a small part of someone’s yearly ritual. Start with how the recipient decorates their home, then choose a piece that fits the space, colours and traditions they already enjoy.

Start with where it will live

For someone who enjoys decorating the tree, a bauble or star set is a useful starting point. For a shelf, console or Christmas table, consider a decorative tree or a Woodland Glow lantern. Measure the available space and compare it with the product dimensions before choosing. A photograph helps you understand the shape and finish, but the listed measurements tell you how it will fit.

Woodland trees are decorative objects without lights. Woodland Glow lanterns include rechargeable LED tea lights and gold-coloured bases. That difference matters if you are choosing between a sculptural display and a gift that brings light to an evening setting.

Choose a complete set or individual pieces

Complete sets keep the listed pieces in one matching colour. The Woodland Animals set contains sixteen characters, while Childhood Dreams contains twelve childhood favourites. Winterwood and Winterwood Mini each offer a seven-design bauble set. Each Starlight design comes as a separate five-star set in graduated sizes.

For someone who likes building their collection slowly, individual Woodland trees, Woodland Glow lanterns or Winterwood baubles offer another option. Choose and add each item separately if you want a mixture of colours. Read the included-pieces list on the product page rather than assuming a set can be customised design by design.

Let their existing colours guide you

Look at the recipient’s tree decorations or the room where the piece will be displayed. A finish that repeats a colour they already use is an easy way to make a new object feel at home. Available choices vary by range, so check the product options before ordering.

White Wood, Bamboo, Pine and Green Poplar are finish names. The Christmas material is wood-filled PLA filament containing 40% recycled wood, rather than solid timber. The decorations are 3D printed and hand finished in England, with fine printed lines visible on their surfaces.

Plan for delivery and care

Luma Christmas decorations are made to order in England, with delivery in 4–5 working days. We currently deliver within the UK only. If you need a gift for a particular date, contact us before ordering to discuss timing. Check the current delivery information and the final delivery charge at checkout.

Keep the decorations indoors, away from heat, water and strong direct sunlight, and dust them gently with a soft, dry cloth. Woodland Glow is for LED tea lights only; never use a flame candle. The baubles and characters are decorations rather than toys, so keep small parts and hanging cords out of young children’s reach.

Essential storage keeps your bag and saves these choices. It is always on. Optional choices are off until you accept them.
